ElementsActive’s Story
Living in Vancouver Canada, I created ElementsActive to help others and myself improve eye health and sleep patterns, leading to overall more energy to do daily activities to the fullest! Whether this is working at home, commuting, driving, biking to work, hiking, fishing, or skiing we are BOMBARDED with elements actively hitting our eyes!
To make it worse, I suffer from light-induced migraines that my neurologist had no solution for, and my eyes easily fatigue and strain from any electronic blue light. You get debilitating headaches, feel tired, and your day is ruined! As a glasses person, it’s expensive to buy rx eyewear for each situation.
Hence, all of our products are designed here in Canada to protect your eyes from UV light, harmful blue light, harsh glare, and other elements, all while being affordable. Quality and service are 2 things that I personally strive for, and we make sure to test and inspect our products through light spectrum machines to ensure they are functional.
Continuous Design & Manufacturing Improvements
Each year we review customer feedback to improve or correct design elements. For example, it is a very common issue in eyewear to have breakage in the bridge or arms or scratched coating on lenses. We want to ensure that each and every customer is fully satisfied which is why we are committed to service and continuous improvement.
In 2022, we upgraded our manufacturing processes to utilize more premium raw materials from Germany, and newer generation polymers to create lightweight and durable frames. Something as subtle as floppy arms. I literally told production “if you can’t sit on the glasses, and be able to re-use them again, then it’s not strong enough!”. This is the goal level we strive to achieve.
Tested and Inspect by Certified Light Spectrometer
The last thing we do is to sell you a product that is “fake”, so we want to ensure you that all our products are tested by a light spectrometer. If our pair of sunglasses is designed to cut out glare and reduce brightness then it will show up on the chart, and if our blue blockers are 99.5% blue filtering then it will show up on the chart.
How to Test Polarization Technology
An easy and proven way to test whether your lenses are truly polarized is to hold it front of your eyes, and slowly rotate it 90 degrees. When you do this in front of a surface that has glare (eg. any water surfaces, car surfaces), or a phone, you will see the surface change at certain angles. This is why they say polarized sunglasses can be used to “see through” water because it significantly removes the glare!
